OOTD: I Don't Care, I Love It. I Don't Care.♥

Monochrome Stripe Dress - New Look (via eBay)/ Cardigan - Topshop (via eBay)/ Creepers - eBay/ Headband - Raccoon Circus/ Lipstick 'Apocalyptic' - Rimmel London

Hey lovelies,
I haven't posted in what feels like forever. My mum got me & Ally tablets and we've literally been so distant from everyone as all we've been doing is playing Temple Run. ;) Besides getting to grips with working my tablet, I've been spending way too much money on eBay and getting into bidding on loads of items... Uh oh...! I've bought quite a few bits off eBay these past few weeks so be on the look out for more posts on what I've bought in the next few weeks.

This beautiful monochrome stripe dress is one of the cheeky purchases I made on eBay. I am seriously loving the Monochrome trend at the moment and really wanted to see what I could bring to the trend. I love the turtle neck on it. It is one of those dresses that really show off every part of your body... Not digging how it catches my stomach but I'll deal with it since it's so gorgeous. Both Topshop & Motel Rocks do similar dresses to the one I'm wearing. The dress makes my boobs look bigger than they actually are which is rather scary...

I also got the cardigan I'm wearing on eBay too. I've become a total eBayaholic, I'm totally like "Hi, my names Vanese and I've become an eBayaholic." Haha. For a cardigan that has a few cut outs on it, I have to say it's unbelievably warm but it's definitely something to leave until the sun comes out! as I always mention *rolls eyes* my creepers are from eBay too and I got them a few months back now. My lipstick is from the new Rimmel London Apocalips collection, literally such a good price and I've basically got my eye on all the other colours in the range too.

Song In Title: Icona Pop - I Love It.

Are you liking the Monochrome trend?

My Top 5 Favourite Celebrity Blogs.❤

by , in
 Hey beauts,
I got the idea to do this post from Joelle's 'Celebrity Bloggers' post not so long ago. I absolutely loved how she shared her favourite celebrity bloggers and that's when I think I first discovered Ashley's blog, I love her on Revenge. I really hope that some of you discover celebrity blogs that you weren't aware of before. :)

                                                                   1 - Kim Kardashian
I was sat watching an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians one night when Khloe, Kim & Kourtney started talking about getting their blogs re-vamped up. Obviously after watching the show I went online to find them and I was so delighted. All of the girls including Kendall & Kylie (I'll get back to there's) have one. I particularly love Kim's a lot because she's always writing about the latest trends and her reasoning for wearing certain outfits. I adore Kim's fashion and love the advice she gives.
                                                                     2 - Lauren Conrad
I think we all know by now that I love Lauren Conrad. I love the content that she posts on her blog and how there is such a big variety of topics to read about. I've especially enjoyed reading her 'get fit' section of her blog, it's just so handy as I'm trying to get fit and eat healthier and she's got all these easy to make recipes. I also love the advice she gives, one of my favourites was a post on 'Boyfriends Before Friends', you can honestly tell that she puts so much effort into the advice she gives. Lastly, I love that there's this big community of LC fans on her blog and the majority of them have their own blogs and it's nice to chat to other bloggers when you both share a love of Lauren. If you check out her 'Style' & 'Beauty' books then you'll realise that both of them cover things that she talks about on her blog.

                                                                  3 - JWOWW
I am a lover of Snooki & JWoww's TV show. I was so happy when I was searching online for some cooking recipes and I came across healthy eating recipes on JWoww's blog, which I wasn't aware of at the time. She by far does my favourite health & fitness posts. She really does give you that motivation you need to do exercise by the things she says and helps you not to give up. She's really good at her relationships posts as well. I think her blog is so underrated and more of us ladies need to check her blog out for sure.

                                                                4 - Ashley Madekwe
Ashley's blog is just simply beautiful. She keeps her posts short and sweet but her outfits never seize to amaze me. I love how she'll always wear like a high-street brand such as Topshop and then mix it in with something that could be expensive but most of the time she puts in an alternative that you could replace the expensive thing with. Her blog is filled with lots of outfit of the days and occasional wishlist posts.

                                                          5 - Kendall & Kylie
Lastly, I love Kendall & Kylie's style and I love how they do things like outfit of the day posts on their blog. I am so excited for their fashion line that they're bringing out and it's nice that they keep everyone updated with it on their blog. They both also write their own posts so it's nice to see what each of them write about. I like how I'm roughly around the same age as the girls and I really take on board some of the tips that they talk about.

Do you read any of the blogs I've mentioned? can you recommend me any other celebrity blogs to read?

Vanzthemachinee Business Cards | From Moo & Giveaway Winner!

by , in
10 Sample Pack - Moo

Hey lovelies,
My camera was playing up while I was in the middle of taking these photos (blogging problems) so sorry that the lighting on them is just weird. Anyway, I've really wanted to get myself some business cards for my blog just because when talking to people about my blog or going to an event, it's such a hassle rummaging around for a bit of paper and a pen to write your blog url on. I've been looking to invest in some for a while now but there's literally so many sites you can buy them from and it can be very overwhelming trying to figure out which site is best for you.

A name that kept coming up when I asked around about good places to get business cards from was Moo. I checked out the website and was very pleased and it seemed like the making to the ordering of the cards was just straight forward. I was happy when I saw that you could order a free sample pack. I ordered myself a pack and enjoyed the making process of it all so much. I was really excited last week when my cards arrived, I wasn't expecting them until a few days later. I was super happy with how my cards turned out. I now feel confident enough to actually place my order.

I did do something silly though. I took the header from my blog, and you'll notice that my header has a quote in it instead of my actual blog name. I totally forgot to add my blog name in the front.. Even though I'm quite unsure as to where to put it. I obviously have my url with my name on it in the back but I'm just not sure if I should go back and put my name on the front... Thoughts?

What do you think of my cards? have you ordered from Moo before?

Giveaway Winner:
Congrats on winning India. I'll email you! :)

Kiss Nail Wraps | Gown Jeweled Strips.❤

by , in
Kiss Nail Wraps Jeweled Strips - £5.99

Hey beauts,
I most certainly think that nail wraps are taking over the world. Of course nail polish is still an essential in every girls makeup bag but nail wraps are just fresh and funky. Kiss has a new range of nail wraps and there's so many stunning designs to choose from. I absolutely love the wraps that I was sent. I am such a forgetful person and on the day I'm meant to be doing something I always forget that I should have painted my nails the night before. I love these nail wraps because there's such a big variety to choose from, from simple to funky designs and it literally only takes you a few minutes to apply and you aren't left there waiting for them to dry... What more could you ask for?

I love sparkle and glitter and this Jeweled pack of nail wraps is just perfect for me. Definitely any girl going on a night out should get one of these bad boys as they would just ultimately complete any outfit. These last up to 10 days which is great because it means it's one less thing for us girls to have to keep changing.

I am loving wraps and I definitely think that they'll be a huge hit this year. You can pick up Kiss Nail Wraps from Boots, eBay, Asda and Amazon (there's probably more places that I haven't mentioned) for £5-£5.99 which is a total bargain.

Have you tried any of Kiss' Nail Wraps before?

Office Sale | Down With It Black Neoprene Trainers.

by , in
Down With It Black Neoprene - Office £10.00

Hey lovelies,
Look at these bad boys that I purchased in the online Office sale. The sale is still on and it's just incredible. I've never seen so many amazing pieces of footwear down to such decent prices. These were originally £45 but went down to £10 which is just epic. I've come to realise that I barely own any footwear
so every time I see a bargain on footwear I just have to pick something up. Ally got herself a pair too, us two are going to look like a right pair of twins.. Even though we are. When we were younger our mum used to put us in matching outfits and the same clothes in different colours. Definitely think that's making a comeback. ;)

They arrived really quickly. When I got the confirmation email it said that any orders made would probably take around 7 days to be delivered due to the fact so many people have been ordering from Office because of their amazing deals and plus the snow (even though there's not much of it) can make such chaos when it comes to deliveries. I have to be honest, they look exactly how they do on the website but I'm just not really feeling them. I can't quite work out what it is that makes me not like them much but I was planning to return them but after having a think I thought let me just keep them as I got them for such a great price and knowing me, I'll probably change my opinion on them in no time. Plus, my mum seems to love them.

The platform is absolutely mahoosive but I have a love for trainers with quite big platforms (well, as long as it isn't too big) I don't think it adds much different to my height. Being 5ft2, these help me out massively even if they make a tiny difference to my height, Ha. I don't know when I'll wear them but they'll probably be featured on here in no time. I have a feeling that I'll love wearing these with skirts and dresses. Do these remind anyone else of the wedge trainers? I think they look so similar apart from the fact that these don't have the curve in the back...!

What do you think of my new trainers? have you bought anything in the Office sale?

The Pea's Knees | New Blogging Notebook.❤

by , in
Botanic A5 Notebook - The Pea's Knees £3.49

Hey lovelies,
One of my resolutions for 2013 is definitely to be more organised. I think I'm pretty decent at being organised but when it comes to blogging... Well everything is a little all over the place. I've got millions of lists on my laptop and phone to do with things like upcoming blog posts etc!

This week while having a look online, Ally went on the hunt for the perfect notebook because she too wants to get super organised with blogging. She came across The Pea's Knees which we weren't familiar with and in that second she was already picking out which notebook she was going to buy, HA. I then went onto the site and found this adorable light green notebook with little designs on the front of things like butterflies, palm trees and birds. I cannot recommend The Pea's Knees enough, free UK delivery and your order gets sent first class by royal mail. My little cute notebook was originally £4.50 but went down to £3.49.

If you like me and Ally want to get your blog more organised or even just need a new notebook then you should definitely check out the site. They also sell things like stationery, hair & beauty things, accessories and so much more. Apologise for my very messy handwriting in the fourth picture. I cannot wait to start properly writing in it, I literally write so much that I know I'll need to order another very soon, haha.

What do you think of my new notebook? will you be ordering yourself one?

Multicoloured Dress - Asos/ Coat - Marks & Spencer/ Leggings - Primark/ Chelsea Boots - Fashion Union/ Headband - Raccoon Circus

Hey beauts,
I wanted to do this post to you show you all this amazing multicoloured dress that the lovely Emmanuella gave to me. It sucks because I haven't had anywhere nice to wear it to but I'm hoping that something will come up soon so I'll be able to wear it out. It'll definitely be making another appearance on here for sure, I know it'll be perfect for when the sun comes out but with the weather in the UK, that won't be any time soon! I love how even though it's multicoloured it isn't too in your face. In future I'll probably just wear some earrings with it but for accessories wise, I don't think I need much really, the dress pretty much does the talking.

Since it's cold out, I paired it with leggings but for days when it isn't that cold I'll wear tights. I am wearing my Chelsea Boots that haven't been featured on here in a long time. Chelsea Boots just always come in handy. I am also wearing my new-ish coat that I have fallen in love with. My older sister got it for me a few months back. It's a little tight round the arm area, hoping it won't be as tight in a few months time though. Lastly, I have my gorgeous black lace headband on from Raccoon Circus!

Song In Title: Mandy Moore - Healing Incantation. If you've seen Disney's Tangled then this is the song Rapunzel sings when she heals people. Haha, watched this so much during Christmas.

Have a lovely week!

P.S: who's excited for baby Kimye?? I am SO excited. With Kim Kardashian as your mother and Kanye West as your father and not to mention having the Kardashian/Jenner's as family members, the little buba will most certainly be stylish.

OOTD: I Knew You Were Trouble When You Walked In.❤

by , in
Blazer - Asos Market Place/ Shirt - Asos/ Jeans - Primark/ Brogues - Charity Shop/ Headband - Raccoon Circus

Hey beauts,
a.) The quality of these pictures aren't anything special b.) I really need to stop mirroring the first image and making it round in my posts c.) my shirt opens up in two of the pictures and d.) I look high in the last picture. I can't believe I am posting yet another outfit post, I had a resolution to do them more often and boy am I sticking to it.

I wore this outfit yesterday for the first day back to college. It literally was such a struggle having to get up at 7am when the past two weeks I haven't been waking up until the afternoon. *lazy* I think this is actually my favourite ever outfit I've worn to college (probably because I actually made an effort for once.), I think it's very smart but casual at the same time. My lovely friend Emmanuella sent me some clothes a few months back that she'd worn a few times or hadn't worn before and both my blazer and shirt were among the goodies she sent me. The top is definitely my new favourite, I love the round collar and the pretty little designs on the top.

I haven't worn my Primark black jeans in ages, they've been hiding away in my mums room with so many other clothes I forgot I even had. I find them so comfy and perfect for winter. Lastly, again I'm mentioning my brogues. *In love* I wore them properly to college and honestly they were good as gold. I think they really finish off the outfit and add a bit more colour when I take off my blazer.

Raccoon Circus Headbands.❤

by , in
Hey beauts,
I've been meaning to show you these two gorgeous headbands that I received from Raccoon Circus a few weeks ago. In the majority of my outfit of the day posts, you'll probably notice that I either have my hair up in a bun or that I've got some form of headband on. For years now I've just always had a love for headbands, I really don't wear accessories much so I love to wear them just to jazz myself up a bit.

Raccoon Circus is a company who make the most beautiful headbands. Things from feathers, beads, buttons and so much more are carefully crafted into their amazing headwear. I was sent two of their lace headbands in black and red. These are just perfect for me because I can pretty much wear them all the time. Headbands are amazing because you can wear them ALL the time. On a night out, when you work out, to college etc...!

I absolutely adore the other hair accessories they make, especially the cute little bows. I think the prices are really good and nothing is too expensive. I'd honestly recommend Raccoon Circus to all of you, you definitely have to check it out. :)

OOTD: Everybody Wants To Be A Cat.

by , in
Cat Tee - Primark / Disco Pants - Internacional

Hey lovelies,
This is just a quick post to show you all my new cat t-shirt. I picked it up from Primark last week for only £4.00 it's apart of their new spring collection. If you haven't already noticed by now... I love cats. I've wanted a cat shirt for so long now, so when I saw it I knew I just had to purchase it and at a great price too. This is definitely the perfect summer outfit. The one thing I'd say if you are going to purchase this top is that you should definitely wear a bandeau underneath as the sides have quite big cuts and you can basically see everything, haha.

The new Primark spring collection is gorgeous. Primark has just really been good these past few months, the stock is of a high standard. I just had to feature Bella in this (I'm a little bit cat crazy) she wasn't too happy though as she was relaxing and I picked her up to take a few cheeky snaps with me. Yes, in the picture she is meowing, hahaha. It would have been wrong to not take a picture of her and the tee... Right? I decided to pair my shirt with my trusty Disco Pants, I love them but mine are too big for me so I'm going to have to purchase a size smaller!

What do you think of my new cat tee? Will you be purchasing it?

Dress - New Look/ Brogues - Charity Shop/ Headband - Raccoon Circus

Hey lovelies,
It always takes me forever to get back into the swing of posting outfit of the days. I am really hoping that this year I'll be doing them more regularly, as they are definitely one of my favourite types of posts to do.

I got this dress yesterday when I went shopping with Shekinah & Ally, we went to check out some sales. I have to admit I did pretty much spend money on items that weren't even in the sales, haha. The last shop of the day we went to was New Look, Ally actually spotted this dress out and gave it to me as she knew I'd fall in love once I saw it *Perks of having a twin sister. ;)* I love the bird print on it, I think it's so cute and I like the mix of black and white birds. I find that the part around the collar area is weird but I am slowly starting to really like it. The majority of the dresses I own all have little slits in the back area. It was originally £14.99 but went down to £8.00.

I also got these beautiful brogues yesterday too, Ally was actually looking for a pair and she saw these but sadly they were only in my size, so she kindly gave me a heads up on them. They are definitely in the top 5 of my favourite charity shop purchases. I got them for £5.*BARGAIN.* I'm quite lucky because there are about 6 charity shops where I live and there are always some amazing things in each of them. Also, I'm going to a bloggers event next Thursday and I think I'll be wearing this dress possibly with the shoes or something different and tights/a blazer. I'll be doing a post on it, so you can see how I style it.

Song In Title: Taylor Swift - Begin Again. Definitely my favourite song off her new album.

Have a lovely weekend! :)

My Interview With Jameela Jamil.❤

by , in

                                                                     Hey beauts,
I really wanted to start my first post of 2013 off with a very sizzling BANG!!! I've mentioned on here before my many fashion inspirations and one of them happens to be Jameela Jamil. Last week I thought I'd take a chance and be a little cheeky and ask her how I could go about getting her to answer a few questions for my blog, the next thing I know she had given me sometime to ask away some questions. I didn't want to push my luck so I only asked her five questions. I'd just like to quickly say ALWAYS be prepared with questions to ask someone you admire for your blog as you never know, you might be lucky enough to get that opportunity and you really don't want to be stuck for questions to ask. I asked her 5 fashion related questions and I really loved the answers she gave back. I even learnt things I didn't know about her before.

1.) What was your favourite fashion trend of 2012?
Leather. Hands down. Coloured leather, embellished leather, all of it. I wore a beautiful
studded leather skirt to LFW in February.

2.) What trend do you think we should look out for in 2013?
Brights. Yellow and orange are to continue to reign supreme. Fashion has become bolder and ballsier and it's important to have a pulse.

3.) What's your favourite statement piece to wear?
My statement pieces are good hats and statement bags. I love a fedora and wear them so frequently, I think people think i'm bald underneath!

4.) What made you so interested in fashion?
I've been painting and taking photographs since I was 12. I love art, and fashion is basically a beautiful dynamic artform you can wear.

5.) Finally, who is your fashion inspiration?
My fashion inspiration designer wise, would be a tie between Dolce and Gabbana, William Tempest and Marchesa. They design to respect the curves of a woman's body. I always say, a woman's body is like a racetrack, you must be mindful of the curves and the bends. They are romantic designers that cater to strong but feminine women. I love them all. Fashion icon-wise. I think Kate Bosworth never gets it wrong without ever being dull. The same can be said for Olivia Palermo.

I just want to thank Jameela again for answering my questions and being super nice! I've decided that I'd love to continue interviewing people for my blog monthly, so hopefully next month I'll have someone else answering some of my burning fashion questions! :)
