over the past few weeks anything to do with studs has been popping up absolutely everywhere from on the streets, in shops or just other bloggers talking about studs. About 2 weeks ago me & Ally decided to order some studs as I know we've got quite a few pieces of clothes that could definitely do with studding. I think the hardest part was choosing where to order my studs from, the size etc... I have to give all the credit to Ally for this because she found some really good studs from a store called Suntek Store we both ordered ours together so we bought 2 packs of 100 studs for £3.77 which I think is such a good price. I know a lot of people order there's from eBay but I just wanted a packet that wouldn't take too long to arrive.
My packet of studs. My packet was literally filled right to the top, didn't realise I'd used so much, haha.
I have to quickly apologise because I should have taken some pictures before I studded everything but it's too late now. I only did one side of my shorts so you can imagine what the studded side looked like before and I've featured my shorts a lot on this blog before I studded one side.
Shorts - River Island £12.99
Sheer Black Top - Primark £4.00
The images aren't that clear so sorry about that. I actually studded the top of my shorts then Ally took over as I got myself into a little muddle, trust me it isn't hard to stud at all. She also studded my shirt just because she borrowed my top and asked if I wanted it studded, she recently did an OOTD post HERE on her blog with her wearing the shirt if you want to check it out. I used the back of a knife to push the studs down, you've really got to make sure they're pushed down as far as they can go to avoid you pricking your legs. I actually put both the shorts and top in the wash and it was literally such a success, I was really worried that I'd find loads of studs missing but everything was perfect when it finished.
*Closer images of the studded shorts*
You can't fully see the top but I just added three studs to the end of the collar on the shirt.
I'm not sure when but very soon I'll do OOTD posts featuring either of these together or with different outfits. I'd definitely recommend people buy studs just to jazz up those duller outfits. I think next week I'll be ordering more studs as I've loved this experience so far.
What are your thoughts on studs? have you joined the studding craze?
