What not to wear to a wedding?

Hey lovelies,
I'm very excited because my uncle and his lovely fiancée have sent out their wedding invitations for their wedding in November. I love weddings and getting to spend time with your family while celebrating something so beautiful... Okay and I love the cake a lot. ;) This shall be a very different wedding for me as my uncles fiancée is Greek it's going to be a traditional Greek wedding which is a first for me but I'm very much looking forward to it. I pretty much only know that they serve amazing food at Greek weddings and everyone always looks so glamorous.

The last time I went to a wedding I wore... (don't judge me) a jumpsuit :o I found it very difficult to find any nice dresses but this time round I am determined to look my best as I know there'll lots of beautiful women in amazing outfits at the wedding. Plus, I turn 18 next March and I think it's time I dressed up more so I need to go for the works... Dress, heels.. etc! we all know white is a NO NO!! you can't look better than the bride on her day. My mum thinks black to a wedding is bad because it seems as if you're off to a funeral?

What do you think you shouldn't wear to a wedding/any tips for me when buying my wedding bits? :)

  8. I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and wore a blue strapless flowy dress - id go for either knee length or maxi dress, but I'm sure you'll look fab whatever you wear! X

  9. For my Mum's wedding I wore a flowery maxi dress from New Look with like sandals and a cardy and it seemed to work quite well, I think you need to make sure you're comfy and remember accessories are key xD xx

  10. I just went to a beach wedding last week, and wore a simple strappy chiffon maxi dress with very minimalistic metallic sandals. Now you might want to dress a bit more formally, so I'd suggest going with something effortless and flattering on your body :)

I'm now following you via GFC, would appreciate it very much if you could visit and follow back if you like my blog too <3

    1. I think that would be the worst thing possible for someone else to wear white on your big day. :P Yeah my Mum & Grandma used to tell me that about wearing black too. Maxi dresses definitely seem to be a top hit for weddings. Thank you Sammy & congratulations on getting married soon. :D
