I'm sure the majority of us have heard about the 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' craze that's suddenly cropped out of nowhere. For those of you who don't know it's the first book of a trilogy which came out in 2011 by author E L James about a very wealthy business man and a young college graduate who have a rather odd relationship. It has a lot of sexual content in the book and I think that's why it's really popular. The books are being called "Mummy Porn" because it seems a lot of older women and mums are really enjoying the books, it seems a lot of women are uncomfortable watching porn but don't mind sticking their head in a good book (wow, that sounded so dirty). It is believed to be one of the most erotic books of the last 2 years.
It's weird because correct me if I'm wrong but a lot of people have told me that the books actually started when a fan of the Twilight books wrote a fanfic about Bella & Edward and I don't know what happened after that but the book was published and obviously for copyright reasons the book had to be changed a bit and the main characters were changed from Bella & Edward to Anastasia Steele & Christian Grey.
I've joined the bandwagon and am currently reading it. Yes, I do think you've got to be able to handle a book quite as heavy as this. I am generally enjoying it though and I think it makes you kind of think in a mature type of way, if you get what I mean? I do think it'll definitely be the book of the summer and I can't wait to continue reading it. As you may also have heard from the rumors there's a movie scheduled to be released and every celebrity seems to be rumored characters in the movie BUT my money is on either Kristen Stewart or Rachel Evan Wood as Anastasia and Ian Somerhalder or James Franco as Christian Grey.
If you have become interested in reading the book then you can either pop down to your local store to collect all three or one of the books OR why not go to Blair's blog and get a chance to get a FREE (yes, I said free) EBOOK copy of 50 Shades Of Grey HERE.
Have you read the book? if you haven't do you want to read it?
